While there are various psychotherapy approaches, the most successful therapies have in common the quality of the relationship, respect and trust between client and therapist, you will find a safe, friendly, nonjudgmental atmosphere. This setting will allow you to relax, explore, express, or confront whatever has brought you to therapy. I will encourage, support, and gently and respectfully challenge you to live the life YOU want. I am entirely open and transparent with you, nonjudgemental and skilful in the therapeutic method that I use. It is vitally important that you feel safe and have confidence in my ability to be your therapist. So that we can walk through this period of your life together. With the knowledge and confidence that I can be strong, steady support.
I have a BSc. in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. I am fully accredited with IAHIP (Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy), ICP (Irish Council of Psychotherapy), IACP (Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and NAPCP (National Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and strictly adhere to their standards and code of ethics. My approaches vary from Humanistic & Person Centred to Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic and Integrative Body Work & Bioenergetics.
I also have a diploma in counselling and psychotherapy supervision and am IACP and NAPCP accredited supervisor. I have certificates in relevant issues relating to counselling and psychotherapy. Such as, suicide-related issues and a post-graduate certificate in bioenergetics and integrative bodywork. My approach is “integrative”, which means I draw on a background of many therapeutic approaches, Person-centred, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, bodywork and bioenergetics.
