I am a fully accredited, Humanistic and integrative psychotherapist, group facilitator, lecturer and supervisor working in Rathmines in Co Dublin. I have over 15 years of experience working in the field of counselling and psychotherapy. I run a number of experiential personal development courses, workshops and groups, also lecture on the topic of counselling and psychotherapy with ICPPD College and PCI College and am an active board member of the NAPCP.
While there are various approaches to psychotherapy, I believe what the most successful therapies have in common is the quality of the relationship and mutual respect and trust between client and therapist. When you come to therapy, you will find a safe, friendly, nonjudgmental atmosphere. Which hopefully will allow you to relax and enable you to explore, express or confront whatever it is that has brought you to therapy. I will encourage, support, gently and respectfully challenge you in order for you to live the life YOU want. I pride myself on the fact that I am completely open and transparent with you, nonjudgemental and skilful in the therapeutic method that I use. It is vitally important to me that you feel safe and have confidence in my ability to be your therapist. So that we can walk through this period of your life together, with the knowledge and confidence that I can be a strong steady support.
I have a BSc. in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. I am fully accredited with IAHIP (Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy) ICP (Irish Council of Psychotherapy) IACP (Irish Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and NAPCP (National Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and strictly adhere to their standards and code of ethics. My approaches vary from Humanistic & Person Centred, to Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic and Integrative Body Work & Bioenergetics.
I also have a diploma in counselling and psychotherapy supervision. I have certificates in relevant issues relating to counselling, and suicide-related issues, and a post-graduate certificate in bioenergetics and integrative bodywork. My approach is “integrative” which means I draw on a background of a number of therapeutic approaches, Person-centred, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral, bodywork and Bioenergetics.
Supports and services I provide are Depression, Sadness or Apathy, Anxiety, Fear, Panic, Disorder and Stress, Anger, Bereavement, Trauma & Abuse, Confusion & Life direction, Psychotherapy, Group psychotherapy and Clinical Supervision.
